Prefer minimum two years of full service Director of Sales & Catering Experience.
Hotel Sales knowledge.

You will be required to make outside sales call within the area to establish business for the hotel a minimum of three days a week. A friendly outgoing personality is required for this position. It will be hard work so come with the right attitude and knowledge to close the sale.
As Sales Director you’ll develop and implement strategies to ensure revenue and room night sales goals are achieved, tactical plans are created and implemented and results are monitored and achieved. Your day-to-day
· Manage daily sales & Catering activities, plans for optimum results.
Develop and set revenue sales and marketing strategies for the hotel to ensure plans are implemented, results are monitored, and sales goals are achieved. Regularly sell hotel rooms, meeting rooms, and food and beverage through direct client contacts.
Financial
- Hit all sales goals and maximize profitability
- Achieve all revenue goals
- Help prepare the departmental budget and financial plans including the hotel marketing plan
- Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales
- Produce weekly & monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyses current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan
Guest Experience
- Help guests - you’ll be happy to help if someone needs assistance with a request or complaint
- Provide guests with information (example: loyalty program, local area attractions, local restaurants.)

What we need from you
- Two to four years’ experience in a hotel sales/Catering and marketing setting.
- Must speak local language.
- Other languages preferred but not required.
Job Responsibilities:
* Perform as the driver of all revenue and ensure quarterly and annual revenue goals are achieved for the hotel.
* Complete all RFP & Meeting Brooker leads before the dead line
* Develop sales action plans, and forecast and evaluate trends to modify strategies that will enhance revenues effectively.
* Ensure hotel participation in all brand revenue management initiatives.
* Assist in the production of annual hotel business plan.
* Develop and maintain departmental budget.
* Lead property revenue meetings always insuring revenue maximization and profit in all areas.
* Ensure that hotel credit procedures and audit guidelines are followed.
* Timely submission of required reports to General Manager, Regional Director & the Owner.
* Maintain good rapport with local civic groups and companies.
* Develop and maintain good relationship with all accounts

· Maintain and promote a team work environment with effective and clear communication amongst co-workers.
- Ensure best client service is being made available through communication amongst the team, cross training within the department and appropriate office coverage.
- Works with management team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers and the market for the segment led by the DOS.
- Set example through professional, friendly attitude towards clients and co-workers, timely response to clients and co-workers needs and observance of sales office standard.
- Ensure hotel meets or exceeds budgeted goals.
- Follow and track company cross-sell procedures.
- Utilize company profile database to determine geographic areas for travel agent calls while maintaining top and existing travel agent accounts.
- Assists with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external.
- Creating a focus on attracting new business.
- Attending and contributing to the monthly sales strategy meeting
- Updating and owning the sales strategy & sales plan with the General Manager.
- Provides positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential (e.g., sets example with personal booking goals).
- Leads on-property sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives.
- Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
- Develop and send informative press releases to targeted lists highlighting all activities and promotions.
- Maintain and expand corporate incentive program via direct mail, personal visits etc.
- Oversee and ensure the updating of rates, promotions on hotel website, OTA's (Online travel agents), GDS etc. without any rate parity.
- Follow and promote hotel standards with guests, co-workers.
- Evaluates and drives the hotel’s participation in the various sales channels, Market Sales, Event Booking Centers, electronic lead channels, etc.
- Monitors all day to day activities of direct reports.
- Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).
