Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team in a grocery store setting. The ideal candidate will assist the Store Manager in daily operations, ensuring smooth functioning of the store and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate daily store activities
- Assist in managing store staff, including scheduling and training
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure stock availability
- Implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Conduct employee orientation and performance evaluations
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly
- Collaborate with the management team to improve store operations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in retail, preferably in a grocery store environment
- Strong knowledge of inventory management and stock control
- Familiarity with payroll procedures and employee scheduling
- Excellent sales skills with the ability to set prices effectively
- Previous experience as a clerk or in sales management is a plus
