SUMMARY
Provide compliant care for all clients with medical issues to promote health and wellness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Maintain an open line of communication with the RN Supervisor at all times.
- Understand medication administration system and ensure continuity and quality.
- Document all scheduled and controlled substances as defined by facility policy and pharmacy regulations.
- Review physician orders to verify the correct implementation.
- Communicate regularly with RN Supervisor to review client services and maintain continuity of care.
- Complete nursing assessments at least monthly in accordance with the ICF/ID guidelines.
- Provide follow up care as identified in the Individual Service Plan.
- Track daily patient consultations, Special procedures, laboratory procedures, x-rays, immunizations in order to provide accurate and timely acquisition of needed assessments and follow up.
- Review electronic documentation at least daily to ensure client’s issues are documented and followed up to resolution.
- Participate in the admission/discharge review process as assigned by RN Supervisor.
- Work closely and in cooperation with other personnel and contracted persons
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience:
- Valid Registered Nurses license as issued by the State Board of Nursing and be in good standing with the State of Tennessee.
- Drivers license with an acceptable driving record. Type F endorsement required within 2 weeks after date of hire.
- Previous experience in working with disabled adults is desirable.
Competencies:
- Adept in both written and verbal communication.
