Essential Job Functions:
- Set up/Kitting hardware peripherals such as PC, server, printer, iPhone, and handy terminals.
- Create and update technical documents for configuration record and frequent operation
procedure. Maintain Configuration Management Database, change history.
- Respond to end user's inquiry to solve technical problem through e-mail, phone, desktop
screen share, or on-site.
- Work with hardware / software vendors to obtain quotes, and/or deal with device repair
requests.
- Join meeting to clarify customer's requirement and plan / quote implementation project.
- Backup and restore data and databases (MySQL / Oracle)
- Proactively communicate with customers to find unreported minor issues and opportunities to
introduce new technologies. Checkup systems to find potential root cause issue to prevent
before problem happens.
Skills/Qualifications
- Required Technical Skills
- Dell or HP Intel x64 Server Hardware
- Windows PC/Server installation, administration
- Hyper-V or VMware
- LAN (L2 switching, wireless)
- Basic network protocols including DHCP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, FTP, SSL
- Preferred Technical Skills
- IPSec VPN, Static Routing, BGP
- PRTG, TeamViewer, SonicWall, Cisco IOS
- Management Protocol including SNMP, WMI
- Amazon Web Services
- Windows Domain administration
- IIS, Apache administration
- Messaging, ETL Tool configuration (IBM MQ, HULFT, etc.)
- Oracle Database, MySQL administration
- Server backup, recovery administration
- Batch script
- Be self-starters who are flexible and work well with everyone.
- Accurate and careful to avoid human error during critical operation, to keep integrity of
documents.
- Interest in pursuing new technologies.
Education and / or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a similar field for technical support roles.
- Experience in troubleshoot PC, Active Directory administration and configure managed
network switch and firewall.
Language Skills:
- Fluent English and Japanese
- Strong verbal communication skills with customer executives and end users in both English
and Japanese.
- Strong written skills for technical documentation with Excel and Power Point.
