SUMMARY
The science department seeks qualified individuals to teach college algebra-based Physics I lecture and lab at Rosemont College in Fall 2024 semester.
Physics I Course Description:
Newtonian mechanics; mass, velocity and acceleration; force and work; motion in a line and plane; gravitation; kinetic and potential energy; impulse and momentum, rotation; periodic motion; fluids; heat and temperature; gases, liquids and solids; laws of thermodynamics; kinetic theory; wave and acoustics.
SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE*
The adjunct faculty member will be responsible for:

Planning and teaching classes as assigned and as outlined in the course descriptions and course syllabi.

Supervising the study and learning activities of students.

Evaluating the academic progress of students.

Submitting course grades and performing other administrative duties as required.

Scheduling office hours.
-
Providing reasonable accommodations to students with documented disabilities.

Regularly communicating with the discipline coordinator on issues related to student performance.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in Physics required; Ph.D. and Post doctoral candidates preferred.

Teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
