You Are:
The Senior DevOps Engineering will act under guidance of DevOps; leading more than 1 Agile team. Adapt existing DevOps solutions and creates relevant DevOps solutions for new contexts; design install and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and software.
The Opportunity:
- Interprets the DevOps Tool/feature/component design to develop/support the same in accordance with specifications
- Adapts existing DevOps solutions and creates relevant DevOps solutions for new contexts
- Codes debugs tests and documents and communicates DevOps development stages/status of DevOps develop/support issues
- Selects appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components
- Optimises efficiency cost and quality of DevOps process tools and technology development
- Validates results with user representatives; integrates and commissions the overall solution
- Helps Engineers troubleshoot issues that are novel/complex and are not covered by SOPs
- Design install and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and software
- Able to automate infrastructure provisioning on cloud/in-premises with the guidance of architects
- Provides guidance to DevOps Engineers so that they can support existing components
- Good understanding of Agile methodologies and is able to work with diverse teams
- Knowledge of more than 1 DevOps toolstack (AWS Azure GCP opensource)
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
- Experience with AWS environment and deployment. Experience creating CI/CD pipelines in AWS
- Experience with GitHub Experience with cloud deployments, continuous integration and deployment pipeline and tools, security and infrastructure.
- Experience with AWS CodePipeline and AWS CodeStar a plus
- Experience S3, KMS keys, AWS Glue, IaM roles, Lambda, Yaml. JSON, Python
- Proven knowledge of AWS platform and tools
- In-depth knowledge of current Cloud best practices and tool chains, including: Software Engineering, DevSecOps and CI/CD, Automated Testing, Operations, Disaster Recovery.
- Strong leadership, team oriented interpersonal and communication skills.
- Must be able to collaborate effectively with a group of high performing individuals.
- Ability to research and maintain knowledge in rapidly evolving AWS Cloud and emerging technologies, and its application to the CLIENT business solutions and IT platforms.
- Must have: Advanced AWS Skills, Development skills - CDK, Cloud formation, Python, Typescript Scripting - Shell scripting (Bash/sh, Powershell) Cloud Architecture AWS code suite, DevOps Skills
- Nice to have: SRE Monitoring & Observability
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Illinois
Compensation Range: $91,000-$137,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits.
