Software Engineer, KDB - Trading Flow Access Technology
Looking for an experienced Kdb+/Q developer, who is able to build out industrial grade infrastructure and design and implement componentry for real-time/historical kdb applications. Proven experience managing large financial databases and datasets consisting of real-time and historical data. Excellent communication skills are an absolute must, as you’ll be in a fast-paced environment working closely with senior managers, business stake holders, peer development teams, and internal operations organizations. You’ll be expected to drive our platform from inception to final delivery and support.
Principal Responsibilities
Architect and implement components for the firm’s real-time data capture applications
Mange and manipulate large historical data sets
Implement reusable Gateway functionality
Develop key parts of this innovative, wide-ranging system
Design operational tools to support our infrastructure
Implement functionality based on defined API
Use and implement library-grade software
Technical Qualifications
5+ years working with large financial data sets, such as market data, order/execution data, and/or positions data.
5+ years of Kdb+/Q, experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
Superb communication and interpersonal skills/ Confident in communicating with stakeholders
Ability to learn new technologies and business knowledge
Other language experience is a bonus i.e Python, Java, Unix/Linux

Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $175,000 to $250,000, which is specific to New York and may change in the future. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package.
