Assist nursing personnel in provision of basic care for residents/clients including tasks such as activities for daily living, personal cares and medication administration as required by resident Individual Service Plans and according to the applicable standards and regulations in the State of Iowa, Medicaid, Medicare or Private Insurance providers. Assist residents/clients with bathing, skin care, toileting, grooming, oral hygiene, dressing and undressing, etc., as required. Assist with resident/ client activities as needed. Perform medication administration and complete associated documentation as required by state regulation and company policy. Assist with preparing/serving residents/clients’ meals and cleaning up the kitchen and dining areas after meals. Utilize proper transfer techniques and assist resident/client with ambulation as needed, and demonstrate safe use of medical equipment. Keep residents/clients living space and common areas clean at all times. Do resident’s laundry as per schedule and training protocols. Make and change bed linens as needed. Transport residents/clients as needed. Answer resident pendants promptly and respond to door alarms promptly. Measure and record vital signs and weights as directed. Report any changes in residents/clients health status to Health Care Coordinator immediately. Maintain client confidentiality as per regulatory standards and company policy. Attend mandatory in-service trainings and staff development opportunities. Complete all required documentation in a neat, timely and accurate manner—including incident reports, nurse communications, EMARS, Tasks, Housekeeping, Laundry, CDAC, etc. Maintain a clean, neat and professional appearance at all times. Work cooperatively with your supervisor and co-workers at all times. Extend courtesy and respect to residents/clients, their family members and guests, and Vintage Park visitors, at all times. Read and be familiar with resident/client Individual Service Plans. Read and comply with Vintage Park Personnel Policies and Vintage Park Policy and Procedure Manual. All other duties as required or assigned.
