Job Overview:
Join our team as a Sales Representative and play a key role in driving our business growth through effective sales strategies and customer relationship management.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct sales activities to drive revenue and meet sales targets
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify business opportunities and conduct market research
- Negotiate contracts and close deals to achieve sales goals
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries promptly
- Understand and communicate detailed information to customer on all apparatus sold by the company
- Manage accounts and provide post-sales support
- Prepare reports for sales and marketing and maintain expense accounts
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, etc.
- Give product demonstrations, remove customer objections and close sales
- Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
- Determine customer’s needs and propose appropriate products
- Participate in sales events and trade shows when necessary
- Develop and maintain an effective and productive working relationship with other sales representatives in the company and with all other support personnel; encourage and assist in their training and development when possible
Requirements:
- 1-3 years of sales experience
- Proven experience in sales, business development, or related field
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to close deals effectively
- Experience in outside sales and account management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to understand market trends and customer needs
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen
- Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule and travel as needed, occasionally overnight
Preferred Skills:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or related field
- Knowledge of the fire and safety industry
- Experience using NetSuite or Oracle platform ERP
