POSITION SUMMARY:
The scope for the role of Sanitation Supervisor covers all cleaning and sanitizing aspects for the manufacturing plant. To maintain proper control and cleaning of the entire plant to ensure all products are produced in a hygienically clean facility. Willing and capable of being professionally trained and will assist the department leaders in their efforts to build a sustainable team and sanitation program. Capable of assisting with the critically important task of cleaning the lines and facility to ensure products are produced on clean equipment, in a hygienic environment. Being the change agent makes the facility and company better. Capable and totally committed to assisting the department & company to meet or exceed compliance expectations. Capable of empowering team members and other co-workers to consistently perform above expectations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Conducts pre-shift round checks of the facility, proactively inspecting for continuous improvement opportunities.
2. Approves sanitation post-op inspections.
3. Professionally capable of administering disciplinary actions, in a manner that empowers and encourages employees to continuously improve.
4. Consistently performs documented audits and verifies that all tech levels are consistently executing the 7-steps of essential sanitation properly.
5. Continuously audits and verifies all sanitation documentation is accurate & properly filled out in real time.
6. Audits/verifies the MSS is accurate & properly updated in real time. Adjust PICs & PECs accordingly if cleanings need to be rescheduled to meet the business needs.
7. Trained in microbiological, chemical, and physical sanitation verification procedures.
8. Professionally trained to properly perform internal GAP assessments & audits, therefore, constantly seeking & executing corrective actions in a proactive manner.
9. Understands and assures preventive controls are proactively successful e.g., Environmental Monitoring, Allergen Plan, Pest Control, Sanitation for Food.
10. Trained in sanitary equipment design.
11. CAPA Trained and proficient to proactively eliminate non-conforming repeats.
12. Designated back up to the Sanitation Manager (capable of running the sanitation program in the manager’s absences).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma, G.E.D or extensive previous knowledge in food manufacturing sanitation.
- Willingness to learn and consistently execute those learning to expectations.
- Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, sanitation first pass quality, the importance of validations and verifications.
- Clear and concise understanding of why sanitation for food is critically important in food manufacturing.
