Position Summary:
CNC Swiss Inc., a leading precision machining company, is seeking a skilled and experienced Manufacturing Engineer. This pivotal role involves overseeing and optimizing the production process, developing and documenting lean manufacturing processes and procedures and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership, critical thinking, and organizational skills, along with experience in ISO 9001 compliance.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Production Schedule:
- Provide day-to-day manufacturing support to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
- Develop, implement, and maintain lean manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify areas for improvement and develop actionable plans.
- Analyze and optimize CNC machining processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Assist in the design and implementation of new manufacturing systems and processes.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to resolve production issues.
- Support the introduction of new products and processes, ensuring manufacturability and cost-efficiency.
- Train and mentor production staff on best practices and lean manufacturing principles.
- Process Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate production processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Implement process enhancements to maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to optimize performance.
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to enhance team productivity and morale.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and ISO 9001 standards and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a machine shop.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve production issues.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage production schedules, resources, and inventory effectively.
- Experience with 5S methodologies and the ability to promote a culture of cleanliness and organization.
- Ability to analyze production data and metrics to drive process.
