Job Overview:
We are looking for a passionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting Occupational Therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients. You will work with individuals across various settings such as acute care, pediatrics, outpatient clinics, and inpatient facilities.
Duties:
- Assist in assessing patients' functional abilities and limitations.
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Guide patients through therapeutic activities to improve daily living skills.
- Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding therapy techniques.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Certification as a Licensed or Registered Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Experience in acute care, pediatrics, outpatient, or inpatient settings is advantageous.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge.
- Strong understanding of physiology and its application to therapy.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
