Job Overview:
The BPCA of NYS is seeking an organized and experienced administrative professional to assist theBoard of Directors with maintaining our weekly meeting schedule and daily business operations. You will be responsible for facilitating member concerns or suggestions to the proper avenues and showcasing the results for membership, if applicable. You will be representing BPCA at various industry- related meetings and events and report back on the findings. As a not-for-profit organization you will need to assist in fundraising and growth strategies such as increasing our membership base via outreach and event planning; or assisting with our biennial fundraising campaign.
Duties:
- Manage office operations and procedures to ensure organizational effectiveness.
- Provide administrative support such as data entry, filing, and correspondence handling.
- Develop and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, partners, and other stakeholders to build support for the organization.
-Represent the company at social and corporate events in ways that strengthen the brand and communicate the company’s message.
- Assist with daily bookkeeping inputs. Assist with weekly banking compliance, as needed.
- Track membership and sponsorships in an organized and efficient manner.
- Develop and maintain strategies to keep sponsors and stakeholders engaged and willing to contribute.
- Assist with website maintenance and upkeep. Develop and maintain social media platforms.
- Consistent marketing and outreach for new members and sponsors.
- Assist grant writing experts with submissions and reporting, as needed.
- Maintain relationships with various not-for-profit agencies such as the Energy Hubs across NYS.
- Assist with planning and executing a biennial BPCA in-person event in the downstate NY region.
- Work closely with our accountant to ensure federal and state fiduciary compliance.
- Assist Board of Directors with miscellaneous time-sensitive tasks and objectives.
Skills:
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Ability to take direction and constructive criticism.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks for financial management, a plus.
- Experience in budgeting and financial record keeping.
