LEAD INSTALLER - GARAGE FLOORING AND GARAGE STORAGE SOLUTIONS
The lead installer is a key person in the completion of each and every project. The lead installer’s role includes but is not limited to:
1. Preparing for each project by reviewing orders and loading the materials into his/her company truck.
2. Ensuring all company tools and vehicles are operated properly and in a safe manner. The lead installer is accountable for any damage or theft of company property while in the lead installer’s care.
3. Onsite planning and execution of the project according to the documents prepared by the office and designer.
4. Responsible for communication with the client as a matter of daily operations or to discuss onsite issues. Managing issues onsite is a critical element in client satisfaction – the lead installer must manage these situations in a professional, courteous, and productive manner in order to ensure the clients’ complete satisfaction.
5. Responsible for managing the assistant installer on his/her team – direction of work to be completed, ensuring tasks completed meet the quality standards of Garage Living, and overall supervision of the other installer onsite.
6. Performing installation – The lead installer is also responsible for work to be completed onsite as part of the scope of work on each project. The lead installer will typically perform the more difficult or skilled tasks while delegating the less involved elements to the assistant. This position is similar to a working foreman who contributes to the actual work being completed while supervising other employees and quality of workmanship. Lead installer should be viewed as a “working foreman” that actively participates in the installation while managing the project/site.
