Description:
Human Resources and Office Administrator will provide practical, consistent, and proactive support, direction and advice on HR procedures, policy, best practice, employment recognition, service awards, benefits and legislation. This role will work with all departments throughout the organization providing a customer focused and effective HR support service to the organization to achieve the organization goals and objectives. This role directly reports to the President.

Processes Biweekly Payroll using a payroll vendor

Training / Schedule and oversee monthly training programs for employees and managers.

Ensures the planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and counsel employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.

Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.

Maintains organization by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.

Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records; representing the organization at hearings.

Maintains and oversees OSHA and Safety Administrative and Legal compliance; delegating some responsibilities out to our Safety Consultant.

Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefits needs and trends; recommending benefits programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefits contracts provided by carriers.

Prepares, updates, and recommends human resource policies and procedures, with support from Payroll/HR Service.

Maintains job and performance records by counseling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job duties.

Handles confidential matters for the owner.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, or related field.

Five years of management experience that includes employee relations, staffing, safety and attendance management.

Proficient computer skills required including Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Demonstrated successful capability to resolve conflict over sensitive or complex issues.

Ability to function at a high level of effectiveness, flexibility, independence and initiative without daily interaction with management.
