Job Overview:
We are seeking a Full-Time skilled Project Superintendent to join our construction team to supervise our Commercial ground-up projects, renovations, and other site work. The ideal candidate will oversee and manage all construction activities on project sites and ensure they are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will be trustworthy, self-motivated, passionate and dedicated to high-quality work thorough knowledge and experience in managing construction trades. Must have strong interpersonal capabilities by being able to influence and lead as they will be responsible for the overall leadership of on-site construction operations. Possess strong analytical, problem solving, and conflict management skills, and include; daily reports, planning, coordination, and execution of the work so that projects are completed in a high quality and safe manner.
The Superintendent must demonstrate strong commitment to safety, quality, scheduling, subcontractor and owner relationships on the project by proactively communicating and taking ownership of risks/issues and facilitating effective outcomes in a timely manner. The Superintendent will maintain consistent and clear communication with the Project Manager. Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor with clients, subcontractors, vendors, labor, and other management professionals involved in project, and be able to offer motivation and conflict resolution.
- Maintain project schedules.
- Manage construction sites and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Keeping sites in a safe and tidy manner.
- Coordinate with/manage subcontractors to ensure materials and labor needs are available to maintain timeline and deadlines of the project.
- Utilize construction management software such as PlanGrid
- Monitor quality control throughout the project
- Enforce project plans and contract terms
- Collaborate with project managers throughout the project
- Daily tracking and reporting with project manager and project leadership
- Maintain and complete punch list items
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift heavy objects.
- Ability to stand, walk, talk, and hear..
- This position may require this employee to be outside in various weather conditions for extended periods of time.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Commercial Construction experience
- Must be able to read and understand blueprints/drawings, submittals, project schedules, scopes of work
- Knowledge of local and state, construction regulations
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Excel and Word
- Familiarity with construction management software
- Ability to effectively manage construction sites and personnel
- Strong understanding of quality control processes
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
