An exciting opportunity to work under the general supervision of the Director of Clinical Systems, the Mental Health Clinician supports the emotional health, spiritual health, mental health and clinical needs across Adult Disability Services (ADS) in Acquired Brain Injury (ABI)/Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Developmental Disabilities (DD) residential and community-based programs. The Mental Health Clinician supports participants through goal development, 1:1 counseling, group counseling, and interdisciplinary team collaboration.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provides 1:1 counseling and group counseling services.
Completes required intake, assessment, and treatment plan documentation.
Completes 1:1 and group counseling notes for all participant sessions.
Works as part of the clinical team and the management team.
Communicates with participants' interdisciplinary teams, as needed, and coordinates services with members of the Clinical, Nursing and Administrative teams.
Creates and oversees positive behavior support plans and guidelines.
Maintains effective communication with families, guardians, healthcare professionals, MA State agencies, courts, and outside providers as needed.
Participates and provides annual required trainings to staff, as required by licensing.
Adheres to MAB and regulatory agency confidentiality policies.
Attends and participates in regular supervision with the Director of Clinical Systems or the Clinical Supervisor.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling, or a related field is required. License eligible candidates or independently licensed candidates are preferred (MSW, LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LADC). Supervision is available for candidates working toward social work or mental health counseling licensure.
PROBLEM SOLVING AND JUDGMENT
Ability to solve problems and deal with many variables. Ability to use sound judgment in crisis situations and in situations where limited guidance exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished either verbally or in writing. Ability to respond appropriately to various crises, incidents, grievances, and complaints. Ability to anticipate problems and plan proactively.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
