Evaluation Specialist

We are seeking an Evaluation Specialist that have experience supporting the federal government, commercial, and non-governmental organizations. Considered candidates will have the opportunity to support our nation’s public health initiatives through meaningful work with NIH. The work will be heavily focused in the realm of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) and methods to positively impact work climate.
General Duties:
· Assess previous work culture and past climate survey results with respect to variables such as race, ethnicity, sex, gender, and occupational level
· Conduct staff briefings on survey results and proposed future survey strategies
· Develop strategy to conduct a series of short pulse surveys to evaluate NIH’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) workforce and work with respect to educational background, occupation, race, ethnicity, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, disability, and veteran status
· Prepare illustrative reports that summarize all assessment findings
· Produce executive summaries and detailed reports for senior level leadership and staff
· Develop a comprehensive science and evidence-based DEIA action plan to improve workplace conditions including proposed timeline and implementation sequence
· Be able to articulate how survey instruments and qualitative collection protocols are based on organizational, behavioral, sociological and another relevant scientific field
· Obtain NIDA approval for all work and implement feedback as requested
Qualifications:
· PhD or MPH in public health, behavioral health sciences, social science, or related field
· Experience work at NIH on DEIA topics is preferred
· Minimum 5 years of experience post-graduation
· Experience with various data analysis and visualization software
· Proficient using quantitative and qualitative data collection and analyses methodologies
· Experience in creating and analyzing organizational equity assessments
· Knowledge of research and evaluation methods and practices
· Ability to perform complex analytical studies and interrupt results
· Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally
· Well versed in Microsoft Office products
· Experience balancing multiple projects
· Strong attention to detail, organization, and efficient time management skills
