We are looking for an experienced Dental Clinic Director to organize and oversee the daily operations of our clinic. You will be the one to ensure that our business is well-coordinated and productive by managing its procedures and coaching its people. The area of responsibility for this role is very wide and thus requires thorough knowledge of various company processes. The ideal candidate must be competent and able to plan many different kinds of operational activities. He/She must be an excellent leader who can discover the most efficient ways to run the business. The goal is to safeguard and augment the efficiency of the company’s operations to facilitate accelerating development and long-term success. Must have experience as a Dental Assistant or Dental Hygienist. Starting Pay is $75,000 but is based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Oversees hygiene schedules, organize hygiene pools, re-care and correct distribution of schedules on specific days.
- Participates in the recruitment of prospective clinical employees by screening and interviewing, monitoring working interviews.
- Ensure that CPR certifications are up to date for employees and arrange certification class annually for anyone needing to renew.
- Staff scheduling for clinical responsibilities (including temporary staff), vacations, requested time off, leaves of absence, etc.
- Manage the staff responsible for ordering of uniforms and daily laundering.
- Plan, implement and evaluate staff training (including clinical training, computer training, patient scheduling, and coordinator of RDH training).
- Train, supervise and provide continual support for RDH, DA, sterilization assistants.
- Delegate responsibilities to others as the needs of the practice deem necessary.
- Monitor staff timecards in computer, adding and correcting entries as needed. Prepares clinical payroll reports semi-monthly for payroll submission.
- Prepare and conduct performance appraisals for all clinical staff.
- Monitor Laboratory Logs and submit monthly for payroll processing.
- Orders uniforms for Doctors and employees as needed.
- Monitors Doctors on call schedule and Doctors time off
- Triage emergency patients.
- Continue to perform Dental Assistant and Dental Hygienist duties each week to keep skills up to date.
