Position Overview
The Account Executive is responsible for prospecting and solidifying new business relationships with prospective clients, as well as working with existing clients, Industry Associations, and various networking events to identify additional revenue opportunities and generate referrals.

Successful Account Executives are insatiably curious professionals who are extremely goal-driven. They are hunters, capable of creating their own activity both in the field as well as on the phone and they are constantly in search of the next sale.

- Generate new business opportunities, leveraging the company’s expertise, industry profile and knowledge of the industry.
- Schedule meetings to present an overview of CPS services to prospective clients.
- Request, organize and obtain documentation required for proposal generation and client onboarding.
- Demonstrate CPS Software platform and other CPS solutions to decision makers.
- Prepare and present proposals and provide appropriate follow-up through the sales process.
- Work with internal teams to ensure smooth transition for new clients.
- Build and manage a healthy sale pipeline through a mix of tele-prospecting, email marketing campaigns, networking events and affiliated industry associations.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date book of business leveraging our CRM.
- Meet with manager and sales team to review activity, performance, company communication, ongoing education and training, and recognition for a job well done.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of business to business sales experience.
- Associates degree or equivalent work-related experience.
- Strong organizational & time management skills.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with technology including MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook), as well as experience using sales force automation tools (CRM) and other software technology.
- Critical thinking and decision-making skills required for objection handling, negotiation, and other situations that arise in the sales process.
- Experience selling or working in the PEO or Payroll Services Industry will be given highest priority.
- Workers Compensation, Health and Welfare Benefits or Human Resources is helpful but not required.
Physical Requirements
- Mobility is required for sitting, standing and walking.
- Mobility required for driving to prospective client locations and other sales-related meetings around Phoenix.
- Manual/finger dexterity required in both hands to operate computer keyboard and manipulate small objects.
- Sensory ability to see, hear and touch.
- Mental effort is required for reading, writing, visualization, calculation and analysis.
- Job duties are usually performed in an office environment with normal and consistent air temperature.
Compensation and Benefits
This position comes with a competitive base salary and lucrative variable compensation plan. Year 1 Earnings (OTE) for achieving sales targets are between $80,000 -$100,000 based on job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Year 2 income expectations are $100k to $200k.
