Therm-x is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our products or services meets or exceeds customer expectations and industry standards. This role will involve collaborating with various departments to implement and maintain quality control processes and procedures.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Leads quality problem resolutions and incident management, drive root cause, preventative and corrective actions. Identifies and drives broad based systemic resolutions at the process level.
- Drive SPC (statistical process control) compliance and improvement projects to reduce out of control conditions.
- Prepare and present executive summaries on customer and factory escalations. Prepare and present Quality Reviews to manager and other stakeholders.
- Designs and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/ or production equipment.
- Evaluates work methods, procedures and policies. Track’s progress of qualification status, review’s test results, determines disposition of non-compliant products, reviews and releases qualification packs. Participates in audits.
- Utilizes drawings, specifications, industry standards, and sketches, adapting inspection measuring devices and procedures when necessary, Read and interpret technical drawings and specification requirements.
- Organize data and input into JMP statistical analysis package to complete analysis
- Analyzes internal/external failures (RMA), suggest corrective and preventive action to respond to customer complaints
- Work with Quality Engineering and Product Development, Manufacturing Engineering and Production to interpret the results of analysis and to draw conclusions and future recommendations.
- Work with Fabrication team on continuous improvements
- Work with internal and external groups to ensure that proper definition of quality expectations and that appropriate assurance techniques are used for the product
- Drive follow-up actions on special projects as needed from conclusions of analysis
- Evaluate and communicate yields of new and existing processes
- Partner with purchasing team on supplier qualification, development, and monitoring
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure supplier meeting product specifications and quality
- Develop & implement supplier quality programs including continuous quality and OTD improvement initiatives
- Perform regular onsite and virtual audits of key suppliers
- Communicate with suppliers for scorecards
- Generate reports related to supplier quality data & present improvement plans to manager

Desired Skills
- BS/MS in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing systems engineering or similar)
- Has good knowledge about Machining-fabrication.
- Working knowledge of mechanical quality concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations
- Project management experience and an understanding of problem-solving tools including design of experiments, root cause analysis and statistical analytical tools
- Strong discipline and attention to detail for accuracy of analysis.
- Basic knowledge of project management principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Possess effective verbal & written skills
- Good organizational skills & high attention to detail
- Statistical software knowledge is desired
