Automotive Corporate Accounting Manager
The Corporate Accounting Manager will support the Corporate Accounting Director by reporting on the company's financial condition regularly and accurately to provide the organization's overall financial health. They provide analyses of risk and opportunity areas to improve profitability. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities
- Work with Corporate Accounting Director to oversee areas of the corporate accounting department including:
- Preparing financial statements
- Monthly, quarterly, and year-end compliance reporting per company guidelines and policies
- Corporate accounts payable and receivable reconciliations
- Trial balance reviews
- Payroll interface review and posting
- Fixed assets reconciliations
- Corporate bank reconciliation
- Lead the dealership accounting teams in centralization projects
- Create process efficiencies through automation
- Oversee the accuracy and integrity of the financial statements submitted to OEMs and third parties for all dealerships
- Oversee dealership compliance for working capital OEM guides
- Establish, enforce, and validate proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- DealerTrack DMS software maintenance
- Provides support to the financial and operational teams in the dealerships
- Reviews the floorplan management process
- Ensures direct reports use proper accounting procedures and maintain accurate records
- Assists in the preparation of information for the external accounting and tax firms to minimize audit costs.
- Continually strives to improve data integrity and information reporting throughout the Company
- Attends meetings and interacts with Executives and dealership management
- Maintains professional appearance
- Other projects as assigned
Requirements and skills

- Knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP standards
- Must be able to sit for long hours while working from a desktop computer, accounting calculator, accounting software, ledgers, and financial statements
Education and Experience
- Proven 3 years minimum work experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager
- Experience working with Dealertrack and/or other dealership accounting systems is preferable
- Advanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software and databases
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and GAAP accounting
- BS degree in Accounting or Finance
