Overview
We are seeking a talented Medical Assistant to join our team. We are looking for a friendly, energetic, highly motivated, hard-working individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and providing superior customer service to patients. Must have 2+ years of experience working in a plastic/cosmetic surgery practice or similar specialty. A successful candidate must be punctual, hardworking, detail-oriented, possess strong communication and customer service skills, and can work individually and as part of a high-functioning clinical team. Qualifications, Education, and Experience:
- Valid Medical Assistant Diploma (required)
- Min 2 years Medical Assistant Experience (required)
- Media participation (required)
- Min 2 years Plastic Surgery Medical Assistant Experience (preferred)
- Experience with EMR (preferred)
Job Responsibilities
- Contributes to a positive, team-building culture
- Room patients and conduct the first portion of consultation with triage.
- Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR.
- Assist provider with injectables, minor procedures, pre-and post-operative care
- Inventory and restocking of supplies
- Oversee the ordering and documenting of surgical garments and implants
- Assistance with charting and patient photography for before & after photos
- Manage patient documents
- Venipuncture for patient procedures
- Perform suture removal, drain removal, and staple removal procedures
- Perform breast expander procedures for breast recon patients when needed
- Provide minimally invasive treatments
- Educate patients and respond to patient questions in office/on phone as needed
- Clean and sterilize instruments and supplies
- Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies
- Follow up with patients regarding their experience, answer treatment-related questions when appropriate
