Description:
SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
The purpose of the receptionist position is to provide general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks. The receptionist will be responsible for answering incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates, mail distribution, flow of correspondence, requisition of supplies as well as additional clerical duties.
SPECIFIC DUTIES, ACTIVITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Answers telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate associate. Will transfer a caller to an associate’s voice mailbox when the associate is unavailable.

Greets and directs visitors to the company.

Takes and retrieves messages for various personnel.

Handles Accounts Payable calls

Reviews statements for Accounts Payable

Reviews invoices and sends them to locations for coding.

Uploading invoices into AP Automation system
-
Receives, sorts and forwards incoming mail. Maintains and routes publications.

Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of express mail services (FedEx, UPS, etc.)

Folding and sending checks.
-
Assists in the ordering, receiving, stocking and distribution of office supplies.

Provide assistance and act as backup for administrative tasks such as data entry, photocopying, faxing, filing and collating.

Complete, and actively participate in all of the company’s EHS training requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or General Education Degree
-
Minimum of three to six months of related experience.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office
-
Professional verbal and written communication skills preferred.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
-
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.

Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office.
-
Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds and carry up to 10 pounds.

Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.

Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC
-
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment is typically considered in an office environment located on-site, within an ELS location during normal or extended business hours. Work environment may also include meeting venues, or other locations as required.
