POSITION: Director of Concessions - Salaried / Exempt
GENERAL REPORT TO: General Manager
BUDGETS & FORECAST REPORT TO: Assistant General Manager
OPERATION REPORT TO: Director of Operations
Summary: Under direct supervision of the General Manager, the Director of Concessions oversees all aspects of concession operations within the organization's venue, ensuring efficient and profitable concession services. This role involves strategic planning, financial management, inventory control, and customer service.
Job Responsibilities and Duties Include but Not Limited to:
Implement initiatives to enhance the overall customer experience and loyalty
Monitor vendor(s) performance and compliance with contractual terms.
Analyze market trends, customer preferences, and competition to identify opportunities for growth and innovation
Create annual and quarterly budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics for concession operations
Provide coaching and feedback on concession topics to enhance team performance and morale
Monitor and analyze concession sales performance, expenses, and profitability
Work with Levy to ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper maintenance of concession facilities and equipment
Implement security measures to safeguard assets, prevent theft, and ensure a safe environment for customers and employees
Foster a culture of exceptional customer service and hospitality within the venue
Solicit and respond to customer feedback, complaints, and suggestions to continuously improve service quality
Oversee revenue and budget, including cost controls regarding food, beverage, and labor
Comply with all applicable policies, rules, and regulations including but not limited to those relating to safety and health
Maintain positive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other external partners
Evaluate all aspects of concession initiatives and activities. This includes, but is not limited to food and beverage services
Conduct other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
Previous experience in concessions management or food and beverage operations, preferably in a large-scale venue
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management
Knowledge of food safety regulations and industry best practices
Familiarity with technology tools used in concession operations
