Job Summary:
New Rochelle Day Nursery is looking for a Front Desk Receptionist to perform clerical and administrative duties in order to support the daily operations of the company. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of tasks with attention to detail and accuracy. This position is primarily responsible for providing administrative support to all levels of staff, including greeting visitors visitors, answering phones, filing documents, processing payments, maintaining records, and performing other duties as assigned by the manager of operations. Background check and medical exam as per NYSOCFS Regulations are required for this position.
Duties include but are not limited to:
·Greet visitors and provide them directions when available
·Answer all incoming phone calls in a professional manner; direct calls when able to assist calls when necessary.
·Verify identification when required by law or company policy and accept for processing when applicable.
·Maintain accurate record keeping and assist with other clerical duties as assigned.
·Perform other duties as assigned by the office manager or other managers as needed.
Qualifications:
·High School Diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred.
·Previous clerical experience preferred but not required. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite preferred but not required (Excel, Word). Knowledge of SAGE accounting program is required.
·Customer service orientation; ability to be flexible and adaptable in job changes throughout the day. Ability to remain calm under stressful situations such as customer interactions or changing priorities. Ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision at any level within the organization at any time during the workday. Ability to work independently with little supervision at any time throughout the workday. Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in order to provide excellent customer service and facilitation of tasks related to office administration such as scheduling appointments, filing documents, maintaining records, etc..

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
