Cheba Hut was created by our founder because he wanted a cool place to work that served up great food in a relaxed environment, and since 1998 Cheba Hut "Toasted" Subs has been the neighborhood hangout for curing cottonmouth and the munchies. At Cheba Hut HQ, our aim is to keep our company small as we continue to grow and evolve our franchise operations. In support of this goal, we are making key additions to our team and we are looking for a skilled and brand-aligned tech professional to join the Cheba Hut HQ squad as a Junior Systems Administrator.
The Junior Systems Administrator plays an important role in supporting users across the Cheba Hut system. This role is responsible for providing technical assistance to a variety of users including franchise owners, store operators, and HQ employees, answering questions and troubleshooting problems with computer hardware and software related to restaurant and administrative operations (Point of Sale systems, Microsoft Office, etc.). In addition to having a solid foundation in technology skills, the Junior Systems Administrator must also be able to communicate effectively with users who will have varying levels of need, urgency, and technical proficiency.
After an initial training period of 4-8 weeks, the schedule for this position will be Friday - Tuesday, 8am-4pm. This position will be based in-office in Fort Collins, CO, and the successful candidate must be able to reliably commute to Cheba HQ.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Fields support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding software programming, connectivity, printing, and similar concerns.

Identifies, investigates, and resolves users’ problems with computer software and hardware, consulting with users to determine steps and procedures taken to identify and resolve the problem.

Guides users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes, which may include use of diagnostic tools and software and/or following verbal instructions.

Applies knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems.

Collaborates with other staff to research and resolve problems.

Collaborates with programmers to explain errors and/or recommend modifications in programs.

Arranges service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products.

Assists with Point of Sale (POS) UI Optimization.

Evaluates end user trends and makes recommendations to Manager of Technology & Director of Technology.

Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends. Including, but not limited to, tools used by HQ & CHF System.
