Established Transportation and Construction Company is seeking an experienced Accounting Controller to join their team. This position will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day accounting functions along with managing the accounting team. Some essential job duties will include (but not limited to):
- Assist in month end and year end closing process.
- Analyzing financial statements monthly and report on variances.
- Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Assist in completing quarterly & annual audits
- Review invoicing for accuracy.
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables as needed.
- Assist with weekly payroll and payroll taxes as needed.
- Review contracts as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications –
- Degree in Accounting or Similar work experience
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer Skills –Should have knowledge of Sage Accounting Software, Microsoft Dynamics GP, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
