The average hourly rate, including tips, is typically between $18 and $25 per hour. Job Description:
A Daley Valet team member plays a significant role in the company's success. They are the first person our clients and customers see upon arrival and the last person they see when they depart. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance. Daley Valet is immediately hiring Valet Attendants! Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Always be mindful of your own and others' safety
- Drive cautiously at all times to reduce the likelihood of accidents
- Keep track of keys and vehicles throughout the garage
- Deliver an excellent experience for guests
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing customers' inquiries and resolving any issues
- Maintain organization at operation
- Collect parking fees and provide accurate change depending on the location
- Direct customers to available parking spaces depending on the location
- Be enthusiastic about the job, creating a positive environment for the customers and teammates to enjoy
- Use professional communication
- Help facilitate transition at the end of the shift
- Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
- Cleaning duties as assigned
Minimum Valet Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Obtain a valid driver's license for 2 years.
- Be able to pass a criminal background check and RMV check
- Clean driving record deemed insurable by Daley Valet's current insurance provider
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Friendly and outgoing.
- Strong customer service experience
- Able to smile during customer interactions
- Ability to create relationships with customers
- Possess an upbeat personality, a willingness to go above and beyond, and a solid work ethic
- Maintain uniform standards when on job premises
- Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English
- Ability to perform basic retail math calculations
- Parking, restaurant, or hospitality industry experience is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to work in the elements - heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
- Ability to organize cars efficiently
- Ability to safely operate vehicles
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and run for extended periods of time.
- Ability to run and move quickly
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, and lift frequently throughout a shift.
