Pear Tree – Hel’s Kitchen Catering is looking for a dynamic and experienced sales professional to join our team. We’re searching for the right person to provide a memorable client experience from the first phone call to presentation of the final invoice. In addition to a strong sales ethic, the ideal candidate is passionate, creative, detail oriented, and dedicated to providing superb client service at every turn. This role requires great attention to detail in all aspects of catering events, including menu planning, equipment logistics, room setup, and coordination with other vendors. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills while being able to work within a well-established team. The best fit for our company is an event planner who can collaborate with the client and the Culinary and Operations departments to execute the highest client experience possible. This role is NOT a remote position.
Responsibilities
Manage and grow existing client relationships and generate new client partners
Manage all aspects of catering event planning from menu planning to event execution
Nurture and build relationships with vendors, venues, and other industry contacts to create memorable and unique events
Establish and abide by standard procedures and train staff to execute them
Research resources, make site visits, and participate in pre-event meetings when necessary to assist with event design and execution
Oversee client experiences from conception through post-event, managing on-site preparations, production, and event breakdown; ensuring consistent, high-level service throughout all phases
Oversee and assist with event management to provide “day of” services as needed
Skills and Qualifications
Catering, menu planning and front of house experience required. (PLEASE NOTE: APPLICANTS WITHOUT DIRECT CATERING/MENU PLANNING EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED.)
Must be able to work as part of a team
Proven success in a catering sales role
Possess a strong culinary background
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, and sometimes, stressful environment
Excellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and meticulous attention to detail
Professional and positive image and demeanor
Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with the Caterease software for menu and event management preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
