Qualifications for Registered Nurse at Safe Life Home Health:
- Active RN license in the state of Illinois.
- Proven expertise in QA for Home Health and OASIS-E review.
- Proven experience with Kinnser EMR Software (Wellsky).
- Strong organizational skills with a solid understanding of home health care.
- Knowledgeable about Medicare home health requirements.
- Positive, professional demeanor, excellent team-building, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Highly and consistently organized.
- Coding and ICD-10 knowledge is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
Responsibilities of the QA Nurse:
- Responsible for reviewing OASIS-E, chart auditing, and ensuring complete, correct documentation that accurately reflects the Plan of Care.
- OASIS-E Review (SOC/ROC/Recert/DC).
- ICD-10 Coding.
- PCR and ADR preparation and submission.
- Clinical Record Review (CRR).
- Resource for resolving issues related to patient documentation.
- Knowledge of various plan reimbursements (Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Private PPO/HMO Plans).
- Review and evaluate all disciplines for quality, cost-efficient care plans.
- Lead weekly care plan meetings and assist with quality assurance and improvement efforts.
- Chart audit review and addressing areas of concern.
- Knowledge of IDPH, CHAPS, CMS Surveys/Audits is a plus.
- Familiar with Financial Reimbursement Systems, PDGM, Case mix.
