The Sr. Paid Media Specialist drives the advertising strategy bus at Veracity. And in keeping with the bus driver analogy, if the average paid media specialist is Otto from The Simpsons, we’re looking for a Ms. Frizzle and her Magic School Bus to drive our paid acquisition efforts. What does that mean? It means you’re up for an exciting, even career-building chance to take charge of our already good paid search & paid social programs and turn them into something truly *magical*. Reporting to & supported by the Digital Marketing Manager, you’ll have oodles of autonomy leading our quest to reach and convert our target audience more effectively, efficiently, and creatively.
That means managing a $200K-250K/avg monthly advertising budget primarily across Google Ads, Facebook Ads, TikTok, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Reddit. We’ll also be looking to you to expand our advertising footprint to other platforms and channels. Basically, if you’re obsessed with all things paid media, then this might be a match made in heaven.
About Veracity
Penicillin changed medicine. The Beatles changed music. And Veracity Insurance Solutions is changing insurance (hey, we can’t all be doctors and musicians). What GEICO did for home and auto insurance — well, we’re doing that for the world of business insurance. We make small business insurance simple, affordable, and buyable online without talking to an agent. We’re growing FAST, and we want you to be a part of it.
What We Offer
We offer 160 hours of PTO and two floating holidays. Our “numbers guy” says that’s 4+ weeks which is pretty great. We offer generous salaries, a bonus structure, a great 401k (company match FTW!), 100% free mental health and therapy tools, health/dental/vision plans, and more.
But nothing compares to being part of explosive growth and working with some truly remarkable humans. See what they say about working at Veracity: https://youtu.be/DT5n7oU0Hi0
A Day in the Life of the Sr. Paid Media Specialist
If you prefer a Groundhog Day job, respawning the same level/tasks each day, this may not work out between us. Every day is a little different in this role.
But one thing is certain: as an online advertising expert, you’ll be waist-deep in ads management, and a “typical” day might include keyword research & planning, audience building, A/B split testing, asset requisition, ad copywriting, budget management & allocation, collaborating with the organic social media manager, email specialist, or graphic designers, some sweet insightful reporting, and other online advertising activities.
Since you’re part player and part coach, you’ll help direct the general strategy of all paid channels and platforms, even for accounts you don’t directly manage. You’ll be relied upon to advise & teach other Paid Media Specialists as they manage the accounts they’re responsible for, helping us achieve higher planes of growth as a team. As such, expect to dedicate part of your time to the teaching, coaching, question-answering, and general mentorship of other team members.
What You Need to Succeed
You obviously know the h*ck out of PPC and paid media in general. We’ll be counting on you to make sure we’re bidding on ad space in the right places, in front of the right people, displaying the right messaging, and hitting our KPI targets. If you eat, drink, and sleep paid search & paid social, bring what you know about successful paid campaigns, and infuse that knowledge into our products, you’ll be successful.
Above all, you’re humble, hungry, smart, and proactive. And if you’re all of that, you’re one of us.
Work Schedule
As a company, we’re open during normal business hours. As a team, some start early and leave early. Others arrive later and stay later. This can be a fully remote job, a blend of partially remote/partially in-office, or a fully in-office in Pleasant Grove, Utah. You’ll work that and hours out with your manager.
How to Apply
Just submit your application through our website or the job board you found this posting on. Since this job can be fully remote, a relocation allowance is not currently available.
