Job Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintain high culinary standards, and deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
Duties:
- Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and food preparation
- Oversee kitchen operations, including food production, quality control, and sanitation
- Manage inventory levels and control costs effectively
- Supervise kitchen staff, provide training, and ensure adherence to recipes and standards
- Collaborate with the culinary team to create innovative dishes and specials
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a high-volume kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food service management, and kitchen operations
- Proficiency in inventory control and management practices
- Experience in catering and event planning is a plus
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred
