Overview:
Emory Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled VMware/Azure Cloud Engineer to manage a vast enterprise VMware environment and optimize our Azure cloud infrastructure. This role requires extensive expertise in VMware virtualization, including SRM, Skyline, Aria (vRealize), as well as Azure IaaS services.
Candidates with Terraform and Ansible experience are highly preferred.
This position is Remote: On-Site presence may be required with advance notice.
Description:
- Responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining server systems and infrastructure for both enterprise and cloud-virtualized environments.

Ensure server systems are secure, stable, and highly available.

Highly proficient with enterprise server management tools and possesses intermediate scripting and automation skills.

Skilled in troubleshooting both Windows and/or Linux operating systems.

Participate in the planning, deployment, design, and ongoing support for enterprise virtual server infrastructure and/or virtual application delivery.

Possess an expert knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V, cloud virtualization platforms, or other such solutions.

This role requires a blend of technical skills, collaboration, and an understanding of how virtualized infrastructure systems interact. Includes after-hours maintenance and on-call rotations to support critical tier 1 systems.

Work with cross-functional teams for capacity planning, focusing on future scalability and resource optimization across all environments.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline and five years of Infrastructure server virtualization experience OR seven years of Infrastructure virtualization experience.
