As a Pacer Sales & Technical Specialist, you will support MarathonLS in the overall technical support and program optimization of Pacer customers. This position will play an important role in customer relationships. Your work will have a direct impact on the customer experience and the company’s growth. This role will primarily focus on program and financial optimization as well as technical products support for our customers. You will work cross-functionally with the Pacer Customer Success team, Portfolio Development, and Operations to provide insights to optimize the Pacer program and increase revenue and profitability. This position will report to the Portfolio Development Director.
Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Providing technical product support to the scientific and operations teams by finding products required for the lab, resolving products issues, and finding alternative products in back-order scenario’s.
- Working with our customers and Pacer Customer Success Specialist (CSS) on SKU consolidation where appropriate.
- Working with lab operations, scientists, and CSS during implementation to create the product list to be uploaded to the Pacer software.
- Onsite Product training for the CSS’s.
- Regular customer site visits to ensure we are providing adequate support while looking for revenue opportunities.
- Regular cadence of meeting with lab department heads to ensure we are providing adequate support and products while looking for revenue opportunities.
- Possess a technical understanding of products to ensure customer expectations are always exceeded.
Program Optimization:
- Identify new efficiency improvements through customer visits and data insights through the Pacer software and NetSuite.
- Identifying opportunities to increase our customers Pacer rebate.
- Finding opportunities for program and product optimization, through cost saving, quality improvements, and efficiencies.
- Build and present product usage and financial data reports for Quarterly Business Reviews.
- Other tasks assigned as needed.

- An understanding of scientific workflows covering Molecular biology, Microbiology, Chemistry.
- 3-5 years of scientific experience in the laboratory.
- A deep understanding of products used in the lab including, plasticware, chemicals and reagents and media.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced start up environment.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
