Attalla Health & Rehab is seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for patient care and possess the necessary skills to assist medical staff in providing quality healthcare services. Our Restorative Nursing Assistants provide restorative nursing programs within the scope of CNA practice. The position is a nursing function and reports directly to the restorative nurse. The position works closely with therapy. Works collaboratively with the CNAs and nurses to see that residents receive their programs as planned. To provide routine restorative nursing care tasks under the direction of the Restorative Nursing Supervisor, and to function as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Position Details: Monday - Friday, 11a- 7p + On Call Rotation Weekend
Job Duties:
- Reports to and performs those duties as assigned by the Restorative Nursing Supervisor.
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the State or must within four (4) months of employment have completed state required training and a competency evaluation program.
- Has been given additional training in the area of rehabilitation.
- Demonstrates proficiency in motivating patients to participate in and complete restorative programs.
- Participates in care plan meetings.
- Demonstrates acceptable skill proficiency in those areas of restorative nursing which the Facility has determined it will make available to its residents.
- Maintains consistent patient care schedule and is efficient in use of time. Coordinates restorative treatments with other facility departments.
- Able to perform duties with a minimum of supervision.
- Identifies potential problems/issues and reports to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Arrives and leaves on time and has a minimum of absences.
- Maintains a professional attitude and appearance.
