The Role: ISSS Associate Implementation Engineer
This person will assist with behind-the-scenes aspects of ISSS implementation projects to help onboard new ISSS Student + Scholar customers. (ISSS stands for International Student & Scholar Services). Day-to-day activities may include building content, writing documentation, and following SOPs for site configuration and processes. Additionally, this person will potentially lead software training on ISSS features and functionality and/or respond to issue reports from assigned clients. Ideally, this person is an eager learner and self-starter actively working towards promotion to a full Implementation Engineer within 12 months or less.
What You Will Do:
- Demonstrate proactivity in becoming highly knowledgeable in Terra Dotta ISSS Student, Scholar, and Engage products, furnished by an in-depth knowledge of the field of international students and scholars in higher education, project management, and excellent skills in the discipline.
- Assist ISSS Implementation Engineers in executing all aspects of an implementation project.
- Meet frequently with team members, and potentially customers, by Microsoft Teams video meeting (or similar) to accomplish project objectives.
- Assist in the resolution of issues encountered during the project by reviewing and clarifying reported problems, searching the knowledgebase for solutions, replicating scenarios in a testing environment, conferring with coworkers, and communicating solutions.
- Maintain detailed records and document billable time spent on the project.
- Provide software training to customers, as appropriate
- Follow standard operating procedures to ensure high-quality customer support.
- Build collaborative relationships with clients and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Contribute to other strategic company initiatives such as the Live Chat and Learning Center offerings.
- Perform additional tasks as requested by management.
What You Need To Get The Job Done:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
- 3+ years of experience working in an international student/scholar office at a college or university
- Understanding of US immigration policies as relates to the management and retention of international students and scholars at colleges and universities, including familiarity with SEVIS, visa types, best practices, and common institutional policies
- Preferred prior experience with Terra Dotta software
- Keen interest in learning about project management frameworks, processes, and techniques
- Fast learner who enjoys new challenges with a flexible approach to changing work priorities
