Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist to provide therapy services to patients of all ages. Your role will be crucial in helping individuals regain their independence and improve their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in evaluating patients' functional abilities and limitations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Provide therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, balance, and strength
- Teach patients how to use adaptive equipment and assistive devices to enhance their daily activities
- Monitor and document patients' progress during therapy sessions
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for patients
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercises for continued progress
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy
- Familiarity with occupational health principles and practices
- Experience working with pediatric patients is preferred
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation
- Understanding of medical imaging techniques relevant to occupational therapy
- Ability to work effectively in acute care settings
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a COTA
- CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Types: Part-time, PRN, Temporary, Per diem
Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 29 per week
