Provide supervision and guidance to staff in the Personal Health Clinic programs, Case Management programs, Preparedness program, and the Child Care Consultant program. Under the direction of the Public Health Director, plans, organizes & directs health services provided by the Personal Health section. Assesses community health needs; recommends, plans & implements programs to meet identified needs; develops & implements applicable division goals, objectives & standards; integrates public health nursing activities with the overall Public Health Dept. Ensures competency of public health nursing staff.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Master’s in Nursing and three years of Public Health nursing experience (including two years of experience in a supervisory capacity); or graduation from a four-year college or university with a B.S. in Nursing which includes a Public Health Nursing rotation and four years of Public Health nursing experience (including two years of experience in a supervisory capacity); or a Master’s in Public Health and graduation from a school of professional nursing and three years of Public Health Nursing experience (including two years of experience in a supervisory capacity); or graduation from a school of professional nursing and five years of professional nursing experience four of which must have been in Public Health (including two years of experience in a supervisory capacity); or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred
Special Comments:
A current valid license to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina by the NC Board of Nursing. Requires valid N.C. driver’s license.
