Mental Health Therapists work with our clinical team and Medical Director providing mental health treatment to adolescent clients through our outpatient mental health program.
Responsibilities for this position include performing assessments and creating treatment plans, conducting individual and group counseling sessions and maintaining case documentation.
The position reports directly to the Program Manager and provides case consultation to the Medical Director.
The Academy Schools provides opportunities for therapists to participate in training including but not limited to Trauma-Informed Care (TIC) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Additionally, clinical supervision is available to all therapists.
Qualifications include a master’s degree in:
- Psychology
- Social Work
- Counseling
- Sociology
- Family Studies
Previous experience working with adolescents in a mental health setting is preferred but not required.
Child abuse, criminal history, driver’s license, FBI and medical clearances are required upon employment.
