Qualifications
University Degree Prerred; Some University Experience
A minimum of 2 years’ experience in purchasing functions in a supply chain environment
Experience doing quotes, sourcing items from vendors, and customer service
Experience in data entry
Strong communication skills and display attention to detail.
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook,
Houston, TX 77056: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Responsibilities
The inside sales representative will be responsible for coordinating daily equipment sourcing, order placement, quote requests, and delivery of client orders for Block 4 Oilfield, LLC
This position ensures sales through customer service, modern supply chain practices, compeitive pricing, and on-time deliveries of oilfield equipment while maintaining a company mandated profit margin per order.
Communicates with field sales reps and customer daily regarding issues causing delays in sales orders
Responsible for the follow up on daily orders and jobs in the warehouse, expediting of orders to ensure on-time delivery to clients per their purchase order
Coordinate with the outside sales team according to the defined pre-determined dates
Liaise with Suppliers and the Warehouse to ensure materials are delivered to the field in a timely manner; prevent orders from being late and/or out of the priority sequence as previously established by planning
Work with Block 4's vendor list to ensure better delivery times and pricing through negotiation, as needed.
Interact with vendors on parts pricing and lead times for all RFQ's
Responsible for creating purchase orders to vendors
Schedule delivery of goods to Block 4 warehouse and/or third-party logistics provider.
Responsible for pickup and delivery of items from vendor to client freight forwarder.
Provide routine customer updates on items on their purchase orders.
Coordinate hot-shot trucks as needed for emergency orders to the field
Required to participate in rotating on-call schedule one weekend per month, as needed.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing results as needed
Participate in Block 4 Safety and Quality programs
