DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assumes responsibility for designing and developing process systems (food, beverage, dairy, brewery, and pharmaceutical plants).
a. Layout projects with team leaders and installation personnel.
2. Assumes responsibility for the installation of process systems.
a. Oversee site installation.
b. Troubleshoot and solve issues as they arise.
c. Serve as the project manager and coordinate with each department.
3. Write up quotes to present to customers.
a. Provide backup documentation for processed quotes.
4. Communicate with customer throughout every stage of the project.
a. Keep customers informed on abilities to meet deadlines.
b. Inform customers of any issues on the job that may impact timeline of completion.
5. Keep up to date on changes in the industry by self-education, company provided trainings, and vendor trainings.
MEASUREMENT OF PERFORMANCE:
1. Company assets, information, formulas, processes are safeguarded and preserved. Ensures that appropriate measures are taken to safeguard proprietary products and information including trade secrets and confidential information.
2. Oversee and complete projects safely and on-time while maintaining a high level of quality and customer satisfaction.
3. Adaptable and able to troubleshoot issues that may arise throughout the projects.
4. Positive business relationships exist with coworkers, external associates, regulatory authorities, vendors, and clients.
5. Good coordination, communication, and effective working relations exist with other departments. Works well with Company personnel to achieve goals.
6. Annual Performance Evaluation merits at least a satisfactory rating.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Related Field
3-5 years of Previous Experience
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Detail oriented
Prior experience using AutoCAD
Prior experience with 3D drawings
Willingness to travel up to 25-30% depending on project requirements
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
