Summary:
We are looking for a customer-oriented, motivated, experienced, individual to fill a Logistics and Communication Manager position in our East Greenbush, NY location.
This role will be responsible for serving as the point of contact for the customers and vendors of a lubricants and marketing company. Acting as a liaison for the customer you will be expected to provide product information and availability, manage customer order processing, shipping and delivery logistics, and assist in resolving any customer issues. In addition, you will be responsible for assisting with AP/AR functions including invoice generation or correction, and management/organization of files and electronic records. You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and able to maintain a positive attitude while helping customers.
Responsibilities:
· Serve as point of contact for our customers and vendors
· Answer incoming phone calls and emails from customers and/or vendors on order modifications and delivery logistics.
· Input and coordinate customer orders from initial contact to final billing
· Resolve or categorize potential customer or vendor disputes
· Provide product information and availability to customers
· Account verification and reconciliation
· Manage customer order communications; Including product availability, order changes, and order status updates.
· Communicate with vendors regarding customer orders and changes; including shipping status, hauling, and backorder status.
Requirements:
· Customer service experience - 2-3 years
· Logistics or Dispatching experience - 2-3 years
· Accounts Payable / Receivable experience - 1-2 years
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, including Word and Excel, managing files and records, and other office procedures
Skills:
· Positive outgoing attitude & willingness to achieve
· Intermediate Excel experience (preferred)
· A self-starter with the ability to work independently
· Accounting experience/understanding an absolute plus
· Proven customer support or client services experience
· Familiarity with ERP systems
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Must have the ability to occasionally lift, push and pull 30+ pounds, reach above head height, squat, kneel, bend, and reach
· College degree preferred but not required
