You Are:
UST is searching for a Process Technician who will independently handle Lab Management. Acts creatively to optimize process efficiency and improve quality of deliverables; accounts for others developmental activities.
The Opportunity:
- Proactively assist scientists and engineers in the lab, tool preparation, accelerate their day-to-day work by providing quality support and data collection
- Operate complex R&D equipment and follow best known methods (BKM)
- Customer sample preparation with appropriate labelling, bookkeeping, inventory of samples shipped to customers and shipping documentation.
- Assist preventive maintenance of tools as needed.
- Support the team in sample production, packaging and shipment activities.
- Support hardware, process and metrology team’s activities and also work across shifts, if necessary
- Follow lab protocol for safety, PPE, proper waste disposal and documentation.
- Work and coordinate tasks with the team members and maintain inventory of materials.
- Participate in designing experiments, preparing hypotheses to be tested and executing experiments and data collection.
- Communicate with team on the findings and data summary.
- Swing shift support for the ESS team, accelerate data collection and run various lab tools (R2R and S2S tools preparation, support on metrology tools) for production and process development.
- The role requires individuals to follow strict internal protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.
What you need:
- Good housekeeping skills, disposing of used materials and follow appropriately recommended procedure.
- Good data logging, data collection and maintain logbook, coordinate with all team members and maintaining clear and open lines of communication to help smoothly run the lab activities.
- Willingness to learn new metrology and analysis (data collection, calculating standard deviation, summarize the data. Calibrate the instrument whenever necessary).
- Years of Experience: 2 - 4 Years
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: California
Compensation Range: $52,000-$78,000
Our full-time, regular associates are eligible for 401K matching, and vacation accrual and are covered from day 1 for paid sick time, healthcare, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance benefits. Depending on the role, some associates may also be eligible for stock options.
