RESPONSIBILITIES OF A CHILDCARE PROGRAM LEAD:

Coordinates childcare programs to meet the needs of the community and meet Y objectives.

Develops and maintains programs in accordance with organizational and operational plans.
- Ensure records of staff certifications are current and complete; provide training as needed.
- Organizes and facilitates age-appropriate activities
- Supervises and interacts with children at play safely.
- Complies with all Childcare Cabinet responsibilities, including attending meetings as needed.
- This is not an exhaustive list of job duties. Other duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned.
REQUIREMENTS TO BE A CHILDCARE PROGRAM LEAD:

21 years of age or older

Current state approved first aid certification

Current CPR certification

Minimum two years experience working with children

Knowledge and experience in childwatch or babysitting including a demonstrated ability to provide age-appropriate activities to children, ages 5 years to 11 years.

Ability to communicate effectively with members, staff, peers, volunteers and supervisor.
- Ability to effectively communicate information on YMCA Programs.
