The Role:
We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Manager based out of our Sterling Heights, MI location. Responsibilities would include:
- Manages and oversees awarded program development for: Program Management, Project Engineering, Prototype Assembly, Design, Development and Validation, Tooling, Quoting and Feasibility, Change Notice Process, and pre-production sign off
- Responsible for tracking and updating all Program Specific Issues
- Holds responsibility through all phases of the development program until process sign-off
- Communicates program status and other engineering issues in regular APQP meetings
- Initiates specific program meetings and invite all pertinent team members to attend
- Provides data and cost information to manufacturing group to develop end of arm tools, masks, and assembly equipment
- Schedule and coordinates mold trials, and prototype builds
- Ensures that the Project engineers are abiding by the policies and procedures outlined in the Quality Systems manual along with any customer specific requirements
- Ensures balance sheets and all other required documentation (PO’s, requisitions, material orders, meeting minutes) are up to date and reflect the latest engineering change levels
- Responsible for conducting weekly design reviews with Design Team
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Has a degree in Engineering
- Has 5 + years of experience in Engineering Program Management
- Has experience with Decorative and Functional Interior Automotive components like: finish panels, air registers, consoles, etc.
- Experience with GM is required; Ford/Stellantis preferred
- Ability to travel to all US/Canada/Mexico locations is required
