POSITION: Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager REPORTS TO: Process Improvement Coordinator
SUPERVISES: None
SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
The Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager will be a self-motivated team member who is detail-oriented and diligent regarding the safety, wellness, and environmental compliance needs primarily of the Marion facility and support for the Gulfport and Macon facilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE
· Knowledge and understanding of all OSHA and related safety regulations
· Knowledge and understanding of Environmental compliance regulations and reporting requirements
· Minimum of five years of safety management experience in a manufacturing facility
· Experience with machine guarding, job hazard analysis and risk assessment of the machinery
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent time management skills with ability to meet deadlines
· Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to provide swift and comprehensive resolution
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES
· Develop and implement safety and wellness policies for all Hartson-Kennedy facilities
· Perform and document safety audits of manufacturing and office facilities at the Marion location daily and report concerns to the Process Improvement Coordinator and Plant Manager
· Conduct mandated safety training for all employees in the Marion location in a timeframe that keeps employees in compliance and maintain training/certification records
· Provide safety training materials and support for the Gulfport and Macon locations
· Create initiatives to reduce and prevent work place accidents and incidents
· Create monthly SHE Reports (Safety, Health, Environment)
· Report safety-related issues to the Process Improvement Coordinator and Plant Manager in a timely manner
· Recruit and vet Safety Team members at the Marion location while promoting participation and attendance
· Lead Safety Team meetings and participate in Gulfport and Macon safety meetings remotely
· Lead accident and incident investigations in cooperation with the Plant Manager and Supervisors
· Ensure compliance with OSHA and other mandated industry-specific regulations
· Create and communicate emergency plans including evacuation plans for fire or other hazards
· Conduct and maintain documentation of safety drills as required
· Implement initiatives to reduce and prevent accidents for all plants
· Conduct new employee orientation in coordination with Human Resources
· Attend Safety, OSHA, Environmental related training and meetings as assigned by the Process Improvement Coordinator
· Update and maintain Foundation SDS website or relevant reporting website with SDS information, required recordkeeping and updates as required
· Other duties as assigned

· Ability to sit at a desk for periods of time
EXPECTED HOURS
· Availability to work 8 hours per day and additional overtime hours Monday - Friday
· Availability to start work before regular shift and remain after shift

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
