The Program Manager oversees the daily operations of the San Carlos community integration program. This oversight includes but are not limited to developing individualized, responsive, quality programs for all participants to address their ISP goals and objectives through a curriculum that aligns with OSBI mission and vision. The Manager will collaborate with the other campus’ Supervisors, and the Executive Director to insure a consistent development and delivery of community integration opportunities and activities. The Manager is also responsible to maintain a fiscally accountable and sustainable budget and to provide leadership, supervision, and support to program staff to ensure desired program goals and outcomes are met. The Manager is also responsible for communicating regularly with parents or guardians, and managing daily administrative tasks in alliance with GGRC program specifications and OSBI policies and procedures. Finally, the Manager is responsible for facilitating all necessary actions to achieve success for program members and realize the Mission and Vision of OSBI.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in special education, rehabilitation, or related human services field preferred
- 2+ years working with individuals with intellectual disability
- Proficiency in computer use (Microsoft Office Applications & scheduling software)
- Demonstration of strong experience in: leadership, innovation, reliability, and effective communication
- Strong organizational, inventory, and curriculum and course preparation and delivery skills
- Demonstration of knowledge of GGRC and State regulations and best practices, and ability to implement these practices
- Appropriate certifications and clearance according to GGRC State Regulations
- Good driving record, must pass CADMV inquiry
Responsibilities:
Job Performance
- Collaborate with the other campuses and the Executive Director to create, develop, and continuously improve the responsiveness of program curriculum and to plan meaningful daily program activities and classes to address participants ISP goals and objectives.
- Model and demonstrate appropriate behavior management techniques program members and mentor staff to do the same.
- Establish and maintain relationships with community partners to provide employment opportunities for job exploration and training sites consistent with the needs, interests, and ISP goals and objectives of program participants.
- Oversee preparation of participant and staff Payroll documents and oversee the development and maintenance of participant employee personnel files and attendance data.
- Manage the financial success of the community integration program by ensuring revenues meet or exceed program specific direct, indirect and overhead expenses by assisting in reaching the annual enrollment goals, monitoring over time, and ensuring appropriate program ratios for a balanced financial outcome.
- Oversee the planning of member ISP goals and objectives and ensure that staff accurately track data on participants progress reports, and develop and submit timely reports on a semi-annual basis to family members and guardians, and on an annual basis to GGRC social works.
- Ensure program compliance with state regulations and complete timely reports (Ratios, Attendance logs, SIRs, QA requirements, etc.)
Customer Service
- Project a professional, knowledgeable, and capable image consistent with the One Step Beyond mission in public interactions.
- Consider the welfare, growth and development of program participants as a top priority in all organizational and program decision making, planning, and development.
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with participants and their parents/guardians to address concerns, maintain positive relationships, and serve as an advocate for participants and a resource for parents/guardians.
Leadership/Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with HR to facilitate Direct Support Provider applicant interviews and hiring processes, as well as in ongoing service trainings and monitoring of staff certifications and other ongoing personnel file updates.
- Support the direct support team in all direct service practices, including participants safety measures, curriculum delivery support, positive behavior support, and progress report procedures.
- Serve as a model, mentor, and leader to support staff, offering regular performance evaluation, and ensuring that the team has clearly defined roles and are aware of the requirements of their job, as well as demonstrating familiarity with One Step Beyond Employee Manual and personnel policies.
- Handle difficult situations with a positive attitude by actively seeking problem resolution, creative solutions, and program and organizational enhancements to ensure individual and team performance as well as program effectiveness.
- Lead and mentor staff to encourage professional growth/development and support management decisions, goals, and policies.
- Motivate direct support team and work with other directors, and others on the program teams to achieve effective collaborative interaction and mutual respect and support.
