Job Title: Clinical Counselor
Job Summary:
As a member of the Leadership Team perform clinical and administrative duties in support of residential and therapeutic services for adults with SMI, TBI, and dual-diagnoses. Supervise to implementation of Clinical Oversight, ensure services are provided in accordance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations and contract requirements, and build an environment which promotes growth for each member of our team and each individual in our care. Provide Clinical Oversight to Group Facilitators, BHTs, Certified Caregivers and BHPPs as required.
Duties:
- Conduct individual counseling sessions with clients
- Implement cognitive behavioral therapy techniques to address mental health concerns
- Provide crisis intervention when needed
- Work with geriatric clients to address their behavioral health needs
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all counseling activities - Provide Clinical Supervision training to staff and managers.
- Assist individuals with autism in developing coping strategies. - Coordinate or direct employee workshops, courses, or training about mental health issues.
Skills:
- Proficient in cognitive behavioral therapy
- Strong crisis management skills
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices
- Familiarity with working with geriatric populations
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations
- Ability to provide crisis intervention as needed
- Experience working with individuals with autism

Education, Licensure and Experience
Licensure issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners to practice behavioral health in Arizona at the Independent level (LPC or LCSW).
Minimum of three years’ experience in a behavioral health setting.
Experience working with SMI adults struggling with delusions, hallucinations, self-injury, medication non-compliance, verbal aggression, physical aggression, elopement, and memory or communication deficits.
