Responsibilities:
- Assist the physician in patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow.
- Prepare examination rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
- Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, recording medical history, and documenting patient information accurately.
- Maneuver the c-arm at physician’s direction during procedures.
- Coordinate with the front desk to schedule appointments and manage patient records.
- Assist in managing medical supplies and inventory to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the examination rooms and common areas.
- Provide patients with clear instructions for pre- and post-procedure care.
- Uphold HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Draw blood when needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably in pain management or a related field.
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credentials preferred.
- Proficient in taking accurate vital signs and medical history.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, procedures, and medications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, and vendors.
- Detail-oriented and able to accurately document patient information.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient volumes and clinic needs.
- Experience with eCW strongly preferred.
